One Man Arrested and Cash, Car, and Jewellery Seized During Garda Searches in Dublin 13, Friday 5th April 2024

Gardaí arrested one man and a number of items including cash, car and jewellery were seized, during the course of a search in Dublin 13 on Friday 5th April 2024.  

Shortly after 2:30pm, as a result of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs in the J District (Raheny, Clontarf, Howth), Gardaí conducted a search of a residence in the Balmayne area.  

€14,110 in cash was seized in addition to a Volkswagen Golf R Line valued at over €40,000, €2,000 of designer shoes and clothing, and a gold bracelet valued at €4,500.  

A mobile phone, weighing scales and other items of evidential value were also seized.  

A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and detained at a Garda Station in the Dublin Region under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.  

He has since been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.  

Investigations are ongoing.
