Gardaí have arrested a man as part of an investigation into an incident of criminal damage by fire which occurred in Ballinteer, Dublin 17 on 20th March 2024.
Gardaí and fire services were called out to a residence in the area at around 1.30am after a fire started at the front of the house.
All of the people who were in the house at the time managed to exit to safety. No injuries were reported. Considerable damage was caused to the property.
Following extensive investigations, including the seizure of two vehicles, Gardaí arrested a man in his 40s earlier today, under the Criminal Damage Act 1991.
The man is currently detained at DMR Garda Station.
