Issue Date: 7th April 2024
Gardaí attended the scene of a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle that occurred at approximately 6:30pm on Saturday 6th April 2024 at Tombreane in Carnew, County Wicklow.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital with serious injuries. He was later pronounced deceased.
A technical examination of the scene has been conducted by Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Tombreane area between 6:15pm and 6:45pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
