Gardaí have arrested and charged three people following a day of action targeting persons involved in the theft of fuel from garages in Dublin.
This morning, Friday 8th September 2023, Gardaí attached to the District Detective Unit in Clondalkin coordinated a search operation in the North, South and West Dublin areas. The operation targeted persons suspected of being involved in approximately 60 separate incidents of ‘drive-off’ fuel thefts from various garages in West Dublin.
A woman (aged in her 40s) and two men (aged in their 20s and 30s) were arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Garda stations in Dublin.
They were later charged and appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning, Friday 8th September 2023.
Investigations are ongoing.
