As part of ongoing investigations into a series of armed robberies at bookmaker's establishments in County Tipperary, a male individual in his 50s was arrested by detectives from the Clonmel District Crime Unit during an arrest operation conducted in the west Dublin area on Wednesday, 18th October, 2023.
This operation forms part of ongoing investigations into robberies at premises in Fethard on September 28th, Killenaule on October 12th, Carrick-on-Suir on October 15th and an attempted robbery in Clonmel on October 7th.
The individual was brought to a Garda Station located in County Tipperary and detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.
He has since been charged and is scheduled to appear before a sitting of Cashel District Court this afternoon, Friday, 20th October, 2023 (at 4:15pm).
