Gardaí are continuing to investigate the seizure of approximately €400,000 of suspected cannabis herb during the course of an intelligence-led operation by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), the Clondalkin District Drugs Unit and Revenue's Customs Service in Dublin on Tuesday 17th October 2023.
As a result of ongoing investigations into this seizure, a number of jointly coordinated follow-up searches were conducted on Wednesday 18th October 2023 in the Dublin 24 area, where approximately €350,000 of suspected cocaine (pending analysis) was seized.
A man in his 30s who was arrested as part of this investigation has been charged in relation to both drug seizures and is expected to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin at 4:30pm today, Thursday 19th October 2023.
The second man arrested as part of this investigation (also in his 30s) has been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
