Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances following the discovery of two bodies in Co. Clare this afternoon, Thursday 9th November 2023.
Gardaí were called to a domestic residence in Killinaboy at approximately 2:30pm where a man and a woman (aged in their 50s), who are known to each other, were found deceased. Their bodies remain at the scene.
The scene is currently preserved for an examination by the Garda National Technical Bureau.
The Coroner has been notified. The services of the Office of the State Pathologist have been requested and a post mortem will be carried out in due course.
A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed to the family of the deceased.
A Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed and an Incident Room has been established at Ennis Garda Station.
