Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances of a medical incident that occurred on the morning of Wednesday 8th November 2023 in County Cork.
At approximately 10am, Gardaí received a report that four male youths in their teens had fallen ill at a school in Fermoy.
The four youths were assessed by ambulance crews at the scene and no further immediate medical treatment was warranted.
As a result of Garda enquiries related to this incident, a number of searches were conducted at a commercial premises and residences in the Fermoy area on Thursday 9th November 2023 where items of potentially evidential value were seized.
Some of the items seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for further analysis.
