On Friday, 3rd March 2023, as part of an intelligence led operation targeting persons suspected to be involved in organised criminal activity in the north inner city area of Dublin, a Joint Operation was conducted by personnel attached to the Revenue Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), and the DMR North Central Divisional Drugs Unit, in the north inner city area of Dublin.
In the course of the operation Revenue officers seized approximately 87,500 benzodiazepine tablets with an estimated value of €175,000 (analysis pending).
Gardaí arrested one female aged in her late 40s. She is detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Store Street Garda Station.
The investigation is ongoing.
