Gardaí are investigating a serious assault that occurred on Brookdale Avenue, Swords this evening Thursday 23rd February, 2023 at approximately 7p.m.
A male, aged 19 years was removed from the scene to Beaumont Hospital in critical condition.
The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination.
A male, aged in his early 20s has since been arrested for an offence contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997 and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 in Swords Garda station.
Gardaí in Swords are appealing to any person who may have information in relation to this incident to contact them.
