Gardaí have seized €240,000 worth of drugs and arrested one man as part of a search operation by the South Central Divisional Drug Unit, assisted by local members yesterday, Wednesday 15th February, 2023.
As part of Operation Tara, Gardaí attached to the South Central Divisional Drug Unit conducted a search under warrant at a residence in Ringsend, Dublin 4 on Wednesday evening.
During the course of the search, Gardaí seized a large quantity of suspected cocaine, and a small amount of cannabis herb with a combined value of approximately €240,000. Drug paraphernalia was also seized including a digital weighing scales, tick list and cash. The drugs are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).
One man (aged in his 20s) were arrested as part of this investigation. He is are currently detained in Kevin Street Garda Station, under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
