Gardaí investigating the fatal shooting of a 29 year old man at a caravan park in Clogherhead, Co. Louth on Tuesday 27th August, 2019 arrested a man, aged in his 30s on Monday afternoon 20th February, 2023.
He was detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at Drogheda Garda station.
He has since been released without charge in relation to this investigation and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Gardaí arrested a second male, aged in his 30s, this morning Wednesday 22nd February, 2023 and he is currently detained in Drogheda Garda station under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.
He remains in custody at this time and investigations are ongoing.
