Gardaí have arrested and charged a man following a number of robberies in Drogheda in the past number of weeks between 15th January, 2023 and 1st February, 2023.
A search warrant was obtained and was executed at a residence in Drogheda on Wednesday morning 15th February, 2023. During the course of the search an imitation handgun was seized.
The man, aged in his late 40s, was arrested and taken to Drogheda Garda station where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The man has since been charged and is due to appear before Dundalk District Court this morning Thursday 16th February, 2023 at 10.30a.m.
Investigations are ongoing.
