Operation Tara - Excess €120,000 Drugs Seized, Drogheda, Co. Louth. 5th December, 2023. Gardaí attached to the South Louth Divisional Drugs unit conducted a search operation under warrant at a residential property in Drogheda, Co. Louth on the evening of Tuesday 5th December, 2023.
During the course of the search, cannabis herb, with a street value of over €120,000 (subject to analysis), was seized.
Drug paraphernalia was also seized. In a follow up search, cannabis was seized with an estimated street value of 2,000 and one male, late teens was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in the South Louth District.
All of the suspected drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.
