Gardaí in the Midleton District will commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the foundation of An Garda Síochána with a commemorative event on Sunday, 4th September 2022.
The ceremony will commence at 12pm, midday, with a service in St. Colman’s Cathedral, Cobh, Co. Cork. Following this, at 12.45pm Gardaí will march through Cobh town from St. Colman’s Cathedral to Cobh Garda Station via Harbour Row, East Beach, Kennedy Pier, Westbourne Place and on to Lower Road.
Local traffic diversions will be in place to facilitate the event. There will be no access to the Lower Road, Cobh from 8am until 5pm on Sunday, 4th September 2022.
