Man Arrested - £79,010 and €64,500 Cash Seized - Dublin, 17th May 2022

Gardaí have arrested a man and seized £79,010 and in excess of €64,000 in cash following a search in Dublin on Tuesday, 17th May, 2022.

At approximately 6:45pm, Gardaí stopped a car in the Clondalkin area of Dublin and conducted a search of the vehicle. During the course of the search, €64,500 and £79,010 in cash was discovered. Two mobile phones were also seized.

A man in his 50s was arrested at the scene following the seizure and taken to Ronanstown Garda station. He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Investigations are ongoing.
