Gardaí have seized €21,000 of suspected cannabis and arrested one man following a search operation in Douglas, Co. Cork, yesterday evening, Wednesday 23rd March, 2022. The search of a house was conducted by Gardaí attached to the Togher Divisional Drugs Unit. During the course of the search suspected cannabis with an estimated value of €21,000 was recovered. A man aged in his 20s was arrested at the scene. He was taken to the Bridewell Garda Station and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
The arrested man has since been charged and appeared before Cork District Court this morning Thursday 24th March, 2022 charged in relation to the seizure.
Investigations are ongoing.
