Gardaí are investigating the serious assault of a man that occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 13th February 2022, in the Upper Gardiner Street area, Dublin 1.
The man was taken to the Mater Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Scenes of Crime investigators attended and conducted an examination.
A man (aged 30s) and a woman (aged 20s) have been arrested as part of this investigation. They are both currently detained at Mountjoy Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Gardiner Street area, between 2:45am and 3:30am, Sunday 13th February, and has information about this incident to come forward.
