Operation Tara Gardaí seize €29,000 worth of suspected cocaine, cannabis jellies, cannabis herb Cloverhill Co Roscommon February 3, 2022

Gardaí have seized €29,000 in suspected cocaine, cannabis jellies, and cannabis herb following the search under Operation Tara in Cloverhill, Co Roscommon on Thursday February 3, 2022.

Shortly after 1.30pm on Thursday Gardaí carried out a search under warrant at a house in Cloverhill.

During the course of the search suspected cocaine with a street value of €20,000, suspected cannabis jellies with a street value of €8,000, and suspected cannabis herb valued at €1,000 was seized.

All items seized are subject to forensic analysis.

No arrests have been made as of yet.

This seizure forms part of Operation Tara an enhanced national anti-drugs strategy, which was launched by Garda Commissioner Drew Harris on July 2, 2021. The focus of Operation Tara is to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks, at all levels - international, national, local - involved in the importation, distribution, cultivation, production, local sale and supply of controlled drugs.
