As part of Operation Tara, Gardaí attached to Letterkenny carried out a number of search operations across Donegal and arrested six persons on Tuesday morning 6th December, 2022.
During the operation four properties were searched under warrants and six persons (three men and three women, ages ranging from late teens to early 40s) were arrested and a number of mobile phones and documents were seized. A small amount of cash was also seized.
One person (18 years) was charged in relation to the operation and brought before Letterkenny District Court yesterday, Tuesday 6th December, 2022 and was released on bail.
Five persons were detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at different Garda stations in Donegal. They have all since been charged in relation to this operation and are due to appear before Letterkenny District Court this morning Wednesday, 7th December, 2022 at 10.30a.m.
