On Saturday, 3rd December, 2022, as part of Operation Tara, Gardaí attached to the Mayo Drugs Divisional Task Force conducted a planned search of a residence in the Westport area.
In the course of the search, Gardaí seized cocaine worth in excess of €4,000 (analysis pending) along with mobile devices, digital scales and other drugs related paraphernalia. Four males were arrested in connection with the investigation and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, for questioning.
All four have since been released without charge and files will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The investigation is ongoing.
