Firearms Seizure, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan. 12th December, 2022.

As part of an investigation into dissident republican activity, Gardaí carried out a search operation in Co. Cavan and seized firearms and ammunition.

On Monday morning, 12th December, 2022 Gardaí attached to the Special Detective Unit conducted a search operation in Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan. During the course of the search a .22 rifle and a revolver with a large quantity of ammunition with varying calibres were recovered.

No arrests have been made, investigations are ongoing.
