Gardaí in Sligo are continuing to appeal for witnesses in relation to a serious assault that occurred at Rockwood Parade, Sligo on Tuesday evening 19th April, 2022.
The man (late 30s) taken from the scene to be treated for an apparent head injury has since passed away at Beaumont Hospital.
A post mortem will be conducted and the results of which will direct the further course of the investigation.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Any persons who were in the vicinity on Tuesday evening from 5p.m. to 6.15p.m. and also any persons who may have camera footage or dash cam footage from the location at the time of the incident to make it available to them.
