Gardaí are currently at the scene of a fatal road traffic collision that occurred in Co. Clare this afternoon, Friday 15th October 2021.
At approximately 2:10pm, Gardaí received reports of single vehicle road traffic collision involving a jeep towing a trailer, on the N18, Bunratty, Co. Clare. A man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been removed to University Hospital Limerick where a post-mortem will take place at a later date.
The road is currently closed and local diversions are in place. A technical examination is currently being conducted by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. They are particularly appealing to any road users who were travelling on this road at the time with camera footage to make this available to them.
