Gardaí in Roscommon have seized €8,000 worth of suspected cocaine and cannabis herb under Operation Tara following a search in Athleague Co Roscommon on Thursday November 25, 2021.
At 3.30pm yesterday, November 25, Gardaí carried out a search of a house in Athleague Co Roscommon and seized €7,840 worth of suspected cocaine and €140 of cannabis herb as well as two shotgun cartridges.
Two men, one in his mid- 50s and the other in his late 20s, were arrested at scene and were detained at Roscommon Garda station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Drug trafficking Act 1996.
These men have since been released without charge pending a file being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
