Court Appearances - GNECB Investigation into Alleged Investment Fraud - 26/11/21

A man arrested by detectives from the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau (GNECB) as part of an ongoing investigation into investment related fraud, has been charged.

He will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin (Court.2) this morning, Friday, 26th November 2021 at 10.30am.

The man was arrested following an operation in Dublin on Thursday, 25th November, 2021. He was later detained at Kevin Street Garda Station.
His arrest follows a lengthy GNECB led investigation into the alleged fraud of €2 million from 17 investors that occurred between 2006 and 2009 after a complaint was received from a company Liquidator.

A second man arrested as part of this investigation last week is due to appear before Cloverhill District Court this morning, Friday, 26th November 2021 at 10.30am.

It’s understood both suspects had left the country and were recently located by detectives having returned to this jurisdiction.

The investigation is ongoing.
