Following the discovery of human remains in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath on 8th May 2021, the search for missing person Sean Bond has been stood down.
 
Sean went missing from his home in Mullingar on 24th December 2017.
 
His remains were located in a wooded area in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath on 8th May 2021. A post-mortem was conducted by the Office of the State Pathologist.
 
An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and public for their assistance in this matter. No further information is available at this time.
