Gardaí in Galway have seized approximately €20,000 of suspected cannabis herb in the East of Galway City on Saturday morning, May 22, 2021.
Uniformed Gardaí from Galway Garda Station carried out a search of a house in an estate in the Murrough area of Galway City at approximately 1am on May 22, 2021.
During the course of the search suspected cannabis herb, with an estimated value of €20,000 was located and seized.
The drugs are subject to forensic analysis.
Two men, in their 20s, were arrested at the scene and conveyed to North Western Regional Garda Headquarters where they were detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Both were released later that day without charge.
A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
