Gardaí investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Eugene Street Dublin on Wednesday, 24th February 2021 have arrested five people this morning, Wednesday 31 March 2021.
Four males in their 20s and a male juvenile were arrested following a number of searches in Dublin this morning. All five are currently detained under the provisions of Section 50 the Criminal Justice Act 2007 at a number of Garda stations in Dublin. They can be held for up to 7 days.
Investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí at Kevin Street continue to investigate a shooting incident that occurred on Eugene Street Dublin last night Wednesday, 24th February 2021, at approximately 10:55pm
A male juvenile received a number of gunshot wounds. He remains in St James Hospital being treated for serious injuries.
The scene on Eugene street and a second location at Greenville Avenue are currently preserved and a technical examination is being carried out by the Garda Technical Bureau.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for information on a Black Hyundai I30, which was bearing registration plate 07 TS 4838, burnt out on Greenville Avenue.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for information on the whereabouts of this car yesterday Wednesday 24th February and in recent days.

• with information in relation to this incident
• who was in the Eugene Street and Greenville Avenue locations between 10:30pm and 11:30pm
• who may have camera footage (including dash-cam and mobile phone footage) recorded in the Eugene Street and Greenville Avenue, or adjacent streets, last night between 10:30pm and 11:30pm
