Fatal Road Traffic Collision, Skerries, Co. Dublin 7th March 2021

Gardaí attended the scene of a fatal road traffic collision involving one vehicle which occurred in Skerries, Co. Dublin this afternoon Sunday, 7th March 2021.

Shortly after midday today, a car collided with a wall on the Skerries to Lusk Road (R127) in Milverton. The driver of the vehicle, a male aged in his 40s, received fatal injuries as a result of the collision. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.

The road was temporarily closed to facilitate Forensic Collision Investigators. The road has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them. Gardaí are also appealing to anyone who was driving on the Skerries to Lusk (R127) road between 11.45am and 12.15pm who may have camera (dash-cam) footage to make it available.
