As part of an intelligence led operation by Gardaí attached to Ballyjamesduff a search warrant was obtained for a house at Riverbank, Drogheda, Co. Louth.
A search took place on Sunday afternoon, 28th February, 2021 and during the course of the search a cannabis grow house was discovered with approximately 130 cannabis plants at various stages of growth and 5kg of cannabis herb which was bagged. All drugs with be sent for analysis. The estimated street value of the drugs is approximately €204,000.
Two men (mid 30s and early 30s) were arrested in relation to this search and are currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Bailieboro Garda station. Investigations ongoing.
