Gardaí have seized €160,000 of suspected cannabis herb following a search operation in the Ballymun area this afternoon, 30th March 2021.
As part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of drugs in the area, Gardaí from the Ballymun Drugs Unit carried out the search of a residence shortly after 5pm.
During the course of the operation, Gardaí seized 9kg of suspected cannabis herb with an estimated street value of approximately €160,000. The drugs seized will now be sent for analysis.
A man has since been arrested in connection with the seizure and he is currently detained at Ballymun Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
