On Friday 09 July 2021 as part of ongoing investigations targeting persons suspected to be involved in organised crime, a Multi-Agency Operation was conducted by personnel attached to the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Revenue's Customs Service. The operation resulted in the search of a warehouse in the Glasnevin.
During the course of this operation 71.52 Kgs Herbal Cannabis with an estimated value of €1,430,400 (analysis pending) was seized.
One male aged 40 years was arrested in relation to drug trafficking offences and is currently detained under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drugs Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Blanchardstown Garda Station. He can be held for up to seven (7) days.
