On Friday 09 July 2021, as part of ongoing investigations targeting organised crime in the Wexford area, a joint intelligence led operation was conducted by Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), Revenue’s Customs Service and the Wexford Garda Divisional Drugs Unit.
The operation resulted in the search of a premises in the Wexford area where 3.67 Kgs Herbal Cannabis with an estimated value of €73,400 (analysis pending) was discovered.
One male aged 38 years was arrested and is currently detained under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drugs Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Wexford Town Garda Station. He can be detained for up to seven (7) days.
