The man, aged in his 40s, arrested in relation to this incident has been charged and is scheduled to appear before Trim District Court this morning, 25th February 2021.

A joint intelligence lead operation targeting organised crime groups in the Trim area was been carried out by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Revenue Custom Service on 24/02/2021. This operation also involved Gardaí from the Meath Divisional Drugs Unit and the Trim Detective Unit.
During the course of this operation, a premises in the Trim area was searched. Approximately 10kgs of Herbal Cannabis (pending analysis) worth €204,200 was discovered and seized.
A man, aged in his 40s, was arrested at the scene. He is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Trim Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing.
