Fatal Road Traffic Collision - Finglas Road, Glasnevin Co.Dublin 31st July 2021

Gardaí in Mountjoy are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the Finglas Road in Glasnevin, Co.Dublin yesterday evening Saturday 31st July, 2021.The collision occurred at approximately 10.15pm when two motorcycles collided with a car.

Two males were taken from the scene to the Mater Misericordiae Hospital.

A male in his late teens, the driver of the motorcycle, was later pronounced deceased. A post-mortem will follow.

A passenger one of the motorcycles, a male in his mid-teens, continues to receive treatment for his injuries. These are not believed to be life threatening.

The driver of the car was uninjured. No other injuries have been reported at this time.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have completed their examination of the scene and the road is now re-open.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward. Any road users who were travelling on the Finglas Road on Saturday 31st July between 10.10pm and 10.25p.m and who may have camera footage (including dash cam) is asked to make it available to Gardaí.
