Gardaí from Ballymun have made five arrests as part of an ongoing investigation into the attempted murder of a man (30s) at Cromcastle Drive, Kilmore. The injured man was shot a number of times when a lone male forced his way into this house at approximately 2pm on Wednesday 20th May, 2020.
The five, four men (two aged in their 30s, one 40s and one 20s) and a woman (30s), were arrested during an operation in north Dublin this morning, Tuesday 6th April 2021.
They are currently detained under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 and at various Garda Stations throughout the DMR North Division and can be held for up to seven days.
Today’s arrests are the first in the case to date. The injured man has since recovered from the incident.
The investigation is ongoing and further updates will follow.

Shooting Incident, Kilmore, Wednesday 20th May 2020
Gardaí are currently at the scene of a shooting incident that occurred at approximately 2pm today Wednesday 20th May 2020 at Cromcastle Drive, Kilmore, Coolock.
A man in his 30s was injured in the shooting and was removed by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital where his injuries are described as non-life threatening.
The scene is currently preserved for technical examination. No arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing.
