Renewed Witness Appeal - Fatal Road Traffic Collision - Spiddal, Co. Galway - 24th April 2021

Gardaí at Salthill are renewing their appeal for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R336 between Inverin and Spiddal, Co. Galway, on Saturday 24th April 2021.

Shortly after 8pm Gardaí and emergency services attended at the scene of collision involving a motorcycle and a car. The driver of the motorcycle, a man aged in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.  The occupants of the car, a male and female in their 20s were taken to Galway University Hospital as a precaution. 

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward. They are also appealing to road users who were travelling on the R336, between Inverin and Spiddal from 7pm - 8:30pm with camera footage (including dash cam), to make it available to investigators.
