Joint Operation An Garda Síochána & Revenue Customs Service, 23rd April, 2021

On Friday 23rd April 2021, An Garda Síochána attached to the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Store Street Divisional Drugs Unit, along with Revenue’s Customs Service, participated in a joint intelligence led operation.

During the course of the operation, approximately 2.5kgs cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €50,000 was recovered. In the course of follow up searches a further 250 grams of cannabis herb and 700 grams of a substance suspected to be cocaine was seized in Dublin city centre. The total value of controlled drugs seized is €104,000 (subject to analysis).  

One man, aged 41, was arrested and is currently detained at Store Street Garda Station, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
