Gardaí investigating an aggravated burglary at a house in the Beech Park area of Portmarnock that occurred on 09/03/2020 have arrested and charged two men aged in their 20s.
At approximately 1:35pm an occupant of the house discovered two men downstairs, one armed with a hammer. The two intruders fled the scene in a vehicle before abandoning the vehicle and continuing flee on foot. Local Gardaí later arrested the two men after a pursuit.
Both men were detained at Coolock Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. They have both been charged in relation to this incident and are due to appear before Swords District Court this morning, 10/03/2020, at 10:30am.
