Gardaí in Malahide have arrested two men (early 40s and early 30s), following a robbery of a service station in Portmarnock, Dublin last night, Friday 19th June, 2020.
At approximately, 9p.m. one male entered the premises, armed with a knife and threatened staff, leaving the shop with a sum of cash. The man met with a second man and both left the scene. In a follow-up search of the area Gardaí assisted by a number of units, including the Garda Dog Unit and the Air Support Unit, located the men hiding and they were arrested.
Both men are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Swords Garda Station and Coolock Garda Station.
