A man and woman have been arrested and approximately €20,000 of suspected Cannabis Herb (pending analysis) has been seized following a joint intelligence led operation targeting organised crime groups operating in the Sandyford area on Thursday 4th June 2020.
This operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), the Dublin Metropolitan Region East Divisional Drugs Unit and Revenue Customs Service and resulted in the search of a house in the Sandyford area earlier today.
During the course of this search, approximately 1kg of suspected Cannabis Herb with an estimated value of €20,000 was seized by Customs officers.
A 37 year old man and a 29 year old woman have been arrested by Gardaí as part of this investigation and they are currently detained at Dundrum Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
