On Friday 21st February, as part of ongoing investigation, targeting Organised Crime Groups, operating in the Cabra and Finglas areas, a Joint Intelligence Led Operation was conducted by the Revenue Customs Service, the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, the Store Street Drugs Unit and K District Community Action Team.
The operation resulted in the search of two houses in the Cabra and Finglas areas. During the course of this operation, two packages which contained approximately 11 Kgs of Herbal Cannabis (pending analysis) with an estimated value of €220,000 was seized by Customs officers.
Gardaí arrested a 40 year old and 37 year old male at the scene. They are currently detained under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drugs Trafficking) Act 1996 at Store Street and Cabra Garda Stations.
Investigations are continuing. No further information is available at this time.
