Gardaí have seized cocaine to the value of €30,000 and arrested and charged a man, following a traffic stop carried out as part of Operation Slowdown yesterday, 11th December 2020.
Gardaí attached to Newtownmountkennedy Roads Policing Unit stopped the car on the N11 at Drummin Delgany, Co. Wicklow. A search of the car was carried out and a substantial amount of cocaine was discovered. With the assistance of Bray and Greystones Units, a number of searches were conducted at houses in the Dun Laoghaire and Brittas Bay areas.A small quantity of cocaine and ecstasy were discovered.
Drugs with an estimated value of €30,000 were seized.
The man was arrested and conveyed to Bray Garda Station and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. He was later charged and is scheduled to appear before Bray District Court this morning, 12th December 2020.
