Gardaí have seized €96,000 worth of suspected cannabis herb and arrested one man during a joint, intelligence led operation in Rathgar, Dublin 6 this morning Monday, 14th December 2020.
The operation was conducted by Gardaí attached to Terenure Drugs Unit in conjunction with the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Revenue Customs Officers at a residence in Rathgar at approximately 11.20am.
During the course of the operation a package containing approximately 4.8kg of suspected cannabis herb (pending analysis) with an estimated street value of €96,000 was seized.
One man, aged in his 30s, was arrested at the scene. He is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 in Terenure Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing.
