Gardaí in Loughrea are appealing for information in connection with the discovery of ammunition and what is now believed to be components of a pipe bomb at Scalp Hill, Castledaly on 28 April 2020.
The suspect device has been made safe and items located at the scene have been removed.
Gardaí in Loughrea and Gort are investigating and are aware this location is a popular hill walking location.
They are appealing to the public who may have been in this area recently and who may have information to make contact with them.
