Gardaí have charged a man, aged in his late teens, in relation to the serious assault of a man, aged in his 60s, in Newbridge, Co. Kildare on Tuesday evening, 28th April 2020.
He is due to appear before Naas District Court tomorrow morning, Friday, 1st May 2020 at 10.30am.

This afternoon Wednesday 29th April 2020, Gardaí arrested a man in his late teens in connection with a serious assault of a man in his 60s that took place in a house in Newbridge, Co. Kildare yesterday evening, Tuesday 28th April 2020.
The man in his late teens is currently being detained at Newbridge Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
The man in his 60s remains in a critical condition at Naas General Hospital.
Investigations are ongoing.
Gardaí in Newbridge are continuing to appeal for any witnesses or anyone who may have information in relation to this incident to come forward.
