A man in his 20s arrested in relation to the discovery of a suspected firearm on the Northside of Limerick City last week, is scheduled to appear at a special sitting of Kilmallock District Court, Limerick, this afternoon, Saturday 7th September 2019 at 5.15pm.

Gardaí have arrested a man in his 20s in relation to the discovery of a suspected firearm on the Northside of Limerick City last week.
As part of the investigation a number of houses were searched this morning, 5th September 2019 on the Northside of Limerick City and a man in his 20s was arrested. The suspect is currently detained at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939.
The suspected firearm will now be sent for analysis.
