A man in his 40s arrested by Gardaí during an operation in Cabra on Saturday in which a firearm was recovered is expected to appear before a sitting of Blanchardstown District Court tomorrow morning 7/10/2019 charged in connection with the investigation.

Gardaí have recovered a loaded firearm and arrested one man during a planned operation in Cabra.
As part of ongoing investigations a planned search was carried out at a house in Cabra earlier today (5/10/2019). During the search Gardaí recovered a shotgun (sawn-off) and three rounds of ammunition.
A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Finglas Garda Station. He can be held for up to three days.
The operation was carried out by detectives based at Cabra Station and members of the ASU (Armed Support Unit).
Investigations are ongoing.
