Court appearance - Heroin and Cannabis (€63k) seized in Tallaght Operation on the 16/5/19
A 29-year-old man arrested by Gardaí investigating the seizure of drugs at a house in Tallaght on 16/5/2019 is expected to appear before a sitting of Tallaght District Court this morning (17/5/2019) at 10.30am charged in connection with the case.

As part of ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of controlled Drugs in the West Tallaght area, a search operation was carried this afternoon by the Tallaght Drugs Unit. During the operation a house in the Brookview area was searched, where Gardaí located Heroin with an estimated value of 16k along with Cannabis valued at €47k (analysis pending).
A 29-year-old man was later arrested in the Tallaght area by investigating Gardaí and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 for questioning. He can be held for up to seven days.
The investigation is ongoing and further updates will follow.
